چکیده
The fuel source of many simple and combined-cycle power plants usually comes from a nearby natural gas transmission pipeline at pressure 50 to over 70 bar. use turboexpander instead throttling equipment offers promising alternative regulate the introduced plant. Specifically, it helps recover part available energy compressed in pipeline, increase output efficiency turbine system, decrease harmful emissions. In this paper, addition such pressure-reduction station is studied. recovered then used drive compression extra air added combustion chamber heavy-duty turbine. performance configuration analyzed for wide range ambient temperatures using exergy analyses. Fuel way increases system by minimum 2.5 MW 0.25%, respectively. approximately 0.36% annual CO2 emissions 1.3% per MW.

متن کاملThermodynamic Performance Assessment of Steam-Injection Gas-Turbine Systems
The cycles of the steam-injection gas-turbine systems are studied. The analyses of the parametric effects and the optimal operating conditions for the steam-injection gas-turbine (STIG) system and the regenerative steam-injection gas-turbine (RSTIG) system are investigated to ensure the maximum performance. Using the analytic model, the performance parameters of the system such as thermal effic...
متن کاملCharacteristics and Economics of High-efficiency Gas Turbine Cogeneration Systems Using Low Btu Gas
Characteristics of high-efficiency gas turbine cogeneration systems using low Btu gas (LBG) are first analysed. Raising the turbine inlet temperature and incorporating a regenerator are both investigated as methouds to improve the efficiency of the cogeneration system (CGS). Taking a gas obtained by pyrolyzing municipal refuse as an example of an LBG, various thermodynamic characteristics of th...

متن کاملA model based control of compressed natural gas injection systems
Low fuel consumption and low emissions are key issues in modern internal combustion engines design. For this reason, an effective on-line control of the injection process requires the mathematical equations describing the system dynamics. The inherent nonlinearities make the modeling of the fuel-injection system hard to accomplish. Moreover, it is necessary to trade off between accuracy in repr...
